What is RAIN reflexology?
It is a method of reflexology that focuses on the individual. It is responsive, adaptive, intuitive, and nurturing. This method of reflexology was developed by a Nurse Practitioner with a transcultural approach to healing. After practicing reflexology for twenty years, studying Western Medicine, Integrative medicine, Functional Medicine, Multiple methods of traditional and American reflexology, Ayurveda, transcultural Shamanism, and energy work from a wide variety of cultures, she blended her studies with an intuitive journey, connecting her to her Celtic and Lakota heritage to arrive at this individualized approach.
R – Responsive: listening and adjusting to feedback
A – Adaptive: changes over time to meet the individual where they are at
I – Intuitive: listens to the subtle energy feedback and integrates intuition
N – Nurturing: aims to soothe the nervous system, and use healthy products

What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an integrative health practice. The premise is that the microcosm represents the macrocosm (the part represents the whole). This is seen in reflexology maps that represent the entire body. Reflexology is practiced predominantly on the feet, hands, face and outer ears. It applies manual techniques to neural and energy pathways. It provides insights, supports homeostasis, encourages parasympathetic response (rest and digest), and reduces stress.

Speak with healthcare professionals about how they incorporate reflexology into their practices, and its uses. There will be mini sessions provided on site. This family fun event will include food trucks, retailers, activities, local artists, local businesses, and local retail. ReflexologyFest.com
