Reiki is a powerful and gentle technique that is used to create space for a person to heal. Energy medicine is a very ancient practice, and there are many methods. Reiki is a gentle relaxation technique in which the power of touch is applied in harmony with the ancient practice of energy therapy / medicine. Sensory stimulation which occurs from touch produces electrical and chemical changes throughout the body. This Japanese therapy restores a meditative state, allowing the daily stress, to melt away and restore a state of balance. Reiki does not interfere with the care of your PCP, and does not aim to treat, but rather be used as an adjunct therapy within your wellness plan. Reiki can provide space to release the daily stresses of life.
Many clients use Reiki as a way to feel more spiritually connected with the universe, open their chakras, enhance their yoga practice, prepare themselves for surgery through stress relief, and get in touch with the insight and empowerment of their higher self.

TOUCH THERAPY AND STRESS
